SMHUB Essential is SMLIGHT’s flagship Linux-powered smart hub, designed for high-performance, fully local automation in residential, commercial and professional environments. Built on SMHUB-OS, all automation services run directly on the device itself, with no reliance on cloud platforms, external servers or Raspberry Pi hardware.
With strong CPU performance, generous storage, multi-radio support, integrated peripherals and a rich add-on ecosystem, the SMHUB Series provides a reliable and extensible automation platform for modern smart homes, commercial buildings, installers and system integrators.
Zigbee2MQTT, Node-RED, Mosquitto MQTT, WireGuard VPN, OpenThread tools and additional services run locally on the hub, allowing it to function as a complete standalone automation controller. Using Matterbridge, Zigbee devices can be passed through to Google Home and Apple Home for control via Matter-capable ecosystems.
