Integrate your TV and media devices into your smart home with the SMLIGHT SLWF-08, a compact WiFi module designed for HDMI-CEC control and ambient lighting integration.

Built on the ESP8266 platform, this module enables direct communication with HDMI-CEC compatible TVs, receivers, and media devices. When used with ESPHome or Tasmota, it allows you to control power, volume, input selection, and other functions directly from Home Assistant or your preferred smart home system.

The SLWF-08 also supports real-time device state monitoring, allowing your automations to respond dynamically to changes in your media setup. This makes it ideal for advanced scenes such as full room shutdown, automated media routines, or synchronised smart home control.

In addition to HDMI-CEC functionality, the module includes a dedicated level-shifted GPIO pin for WS2812B LED strips. This enables ambient backlighting behind your TV, supporting ESPHome-based lighting effects or WLED firmware for more advanced setups.

With onboard USB-UART via USB-C, firmware flashing is straightforward, while the user button and exposed pinouts provide flexibility for custom integrations and development use.

This module is designed for users who want full local control over their media systems and lighting, without reliance on cloud services.
